Regularize my situation
The 'manifestação de interesse' (Art. 88/2 & 89/2) — which let people regularise while already in Portugal — ended in June 2024. There's no longer a general 'regularise from here' route. Depending on your situation, one of these may still apply:

Ties to Portugal
If you grew up here, were born here, have a resident/Portuguese minor child in your care, or your permit lapsed without you leaving — see “Residence through my ties” (Art. 122).
-
Family reunification
If a close family member is a legal resident, you may be able to join them.
-
A residence visa from a consulate
Most other routes — including the CPLP route since Lei 9/2025 — now require a residence visa obtained for that purpose at a Portuguese consulate.
